Wase Werkplaats vzw wishes to make people stronger. We aim to do this in a sustainable and ethical way by focusing on several strategic goals. In order to extend our reach, we ask you as our supplier to subscribe the following intentions on 3 focus areas with relations to business ethics.
- Health, safety and wellbeing:
You should keep your workplace safe and healthy for all your employees, clients, suppliers and members of the communities in which you are active. Forced labour or child labour may never be an option. Moreover, employees should be able to unite themselves in order to take part in collective bargaining about their working conditions. Furthermore, all company activities should be in accordance with the local law and regulations concerning health, safety and wellbeing.
- Business ethics and respect:
There may be no room in your organization for corruption, discrimination and general lack of respect. In this light, discrimination is to be seen as treating people in an unequal manner that is not covered by lawful objective justification. Inciting discrimination will be considered as discrimination itself. No bribery’s or similar payments may be accepted nor given. Respect for one another must be a central value that is seen in both words and deeds. Company stakeholders must therefore be treated with respect and with the acknowledgement of diversity in all of its forms (cultural background, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, …). In no way may there be any form of discrimination based on aspects like these.
- Environment and ecology:
The environment should always be taken into account when conducting business. You should aim to lower your own negative impact on climate and environment by continuous improvement. The ultimate goal in this matter is to create a long term economic value that stays within the limits of our planet. Your company should also operate in accordance with local environmental laws and regulations at all times.
Generally concerned, Wase Werkplaats vzw asks a positive answer that is seen in actions of its suppliers to the following 3 questions. Only then will it be possible for us build a long-term and sustainable partnership between our companies.
