Wase Werkplaats vzw aims to provide opportunities for people distanced from the labour market to take control of their lives. We believe that we best achieve this objective by managing our organisation excellently, both economically and socially.
  • For our customers, we apply world standards in terms of quality, safety, environment and food safety. We always aim to offer our customers added value by delivering an excellent end product and being a socially responsible partner for them.
     
  • For our employees with a tailor-made status, we want to be the reference in terms of employment in our region. We want to further develop their talents, close to home. Thanks to the wide variety of activities and intensive guidance, we can offer them a tailor-made job.

We aim to be among the top in our sector, which is why we are committed to always exceeding our service standards. Our varied offer includes: packaging, labelling and control work, technical handling/assembly, unpacking/disassembly and green and nature management.   • Towards a safe and healthy working environment

    We attach great importance to the health and job satisfaction of our employees. Therefore, we are committed to creating a safe and healthy working environment (in accordance with ISO 45001) to prevent work-related injuries and health problems.Creating optimal working conditions by eliminating hazards and reducing health and safety risks is both a challenge and a motivation for Wase Werkplaats.

    To ensure optimal cooperation, we are committed to maintaining a consultation structure aimed at involving all employees.Through their representation, they will therefore be consulted and asked to participate in shaping various parts of the health and safety management system.
     
  • Towards service excellence

    To optimise our services, we take customer feedback seriously.We want to be a valuable partner for them, distinguishing ourselves positively in many areas. Besides process quality (in accordance with ISO 9001), we are also building on product and food safety (in accordance with ISO 13485, ISO 22000).

    For this, it is crucial that hazards in these areas are constantly monitored and controlled.As the safety of the end consumer is central, special attention is therefore given to hygiene and efficient communication throughout the product chain. We see these as convincing assets in a highly competitive market.
  • Towards minimal environmental impact

    We undertake to use available resources, energy sources wisely and limit waste as much as possible. We follow innovations and evolutions in environmental management and apply them wherever possible. Moreover, we also present environmental support solutions to our customers. 
     
  • According to national and European laws and standards

    The integrated management system of Wase Werkplaats vzw aims to ensure that company activities comply with all applicable laws and regulations. Important in this respect is the sector-specific quality, environmental and safety care in facilities for social integration of persons with disabilities (Decree of 12 July 2013 on customised collective insertion).
  • Corporate social responsibility

    Wase Werkplaats got its mission and raison d'être from the local community, so it is very special for us that we can also give something back to society. We try to find the right balance between the well-being of our employees, society, a better environment and good economic results. We always check our policies against the social context.
     
  • Towards an interactive organisation

    We are building a consultation structure that includes participation, involvement, information and training.In doing so, we pay attention to everyone who is directly or indirectly involved with Wase Werkplaats: customers, employees, managers, suppliers, authorities and control bodies.We evaluate the communication plan at regular intervals and adjust it to current events.

An integrated management system helps us realise this policy on quality, safety, the environment and food safety. We start from a Strategy House that is drawn up and kept up-to-date by the management. This translates strategic objectives, in line with the company's mission, into critical success factors and measurable Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

The effectiveness of the management system is assessed on the basis of: customer satisfaction, complaint handling, employee satisfaction, results of internal and external audits and process or product performance. This working method guarantees our ambition to continuously improve. Moreover, we believe that good results result from excellent leadership that drives policy and strategy, guides employees, concludes partnerships and manages resources and processes.
